What kind of wood is lightest, sturdiest and cheapest for a bed frame? - blueprints for bed frame

I am a bed frame futon. All measurements are welcomed. For example, model, type of wood, etc.

Pine. As with a futon, who hated us, very uncomfortable.

"Light", "robust" and "cheap" rarely go together when they talk about the furniture. I think for the top three, you want to oak.

Oak is good but is difficult and expensive. These poplars. Pine is cheap, but low. Douglas would be my choice. I think it matches your search criteria.

A good, solid pine will work. It is easier, cheaper, and may take some time if you're not careful.
